My #NeverSettle story

Assalamualaikum and Hi :)

There are times I wish that I've done some things right, but then as human - we never always make the right decision in life. So sometimes we stumble, and sometimes we rise - but never lose our faith to the Al-Mighty. This is maybe one of the best decision that I have made previously. I thank Allah for what He gave me the way to break and ease the way.

Alhamdulillah. Syukur.

So, what's this story is all about? Some of you might already know about it, but many of you might not. So today, let me tell you the story :)

I was once a typical Malay girl, we always been told from young that working in big companies such as MNCs is the right thing to do. And that is the ultimate goal when I finished my Degree in International Business. Always think that when you work with MNC, you will get a good salary, stable job, settle down and have nothing to worry.

I remember right after graduate, I was so obsessed to get a job in MNC. And, if you want to get a job at MNC, you have to excel in the interview for the permanent position because there are not many choices especially for fresh graduate. During my internship, I started by improving my communication skills (especially when you've to do a presentation) - I practice it even when I am alone at home. I make sure I feel confident I can do it, especially if I have to do it on the spot. Alhamdulillah, I've got a job at MNCs company right after I finished my internship. It feels worth it especially with all the effort I have put in the first three months I was there. I also got another offer from a big international cosmetics company to be their International Executive Representative which requires me to travel a lot. And YES, I do love to travel! The remuneration packages they offer me is hard for me to resist.

But suddenly, at that point, I started to contemplate. Stable job with good pay OR pursuing something that I want? My real passion is into business. However, if I do business, it might take years to even get stable income as much monthly salary like what the MNCs company offer. And some more, I also got an offer for my Masters at Monash University Melbourne. I knew my Abah and Umi would love to see me pursuing my Masters overseas as all my brothers had their Diplomas and Degree Overseas.

But all these are not what I REALLY want! I felt that I would be settling if I accepted the job offer or pursued my study.

I told Abah to give me one year to prove my online business is not just a talk. It can be big one day, and if I didn't make it, I would follow my parents advise. I told them, I have a clear vision of my future as business women. It's what I envisioned myself to be when I took up business study; I guess it got blurry after a while.

And that was it. That's how ByFatinSuhana started. Now, I'm already with my second brainchild - Mamteen.

Never had I imagined to have two boutiques and HQ office with an in-house tailor. Managing 20++ workers is not easy, luckily, I have my husband by my side which he helps me runs the company too. Together, we're strong :)

So, if you're thinking of doing something, don't just settlefor something else because of your fear or what society expect. Talk with your loved one and do a bit of research on what you want to pursue.  Insyaallah, you will achieve it. Importantly you have to believe in yourself. Like me, make your #NeverSettle story something to be proud of.

Check out this ad by Alcon Malaysia. When I see it, I'm glad, back then I had a clearer vision of what I wanted to do with my life.

You know, it's same goes with the contact lens. I had my contact lens previously which I bought just for the sake of replacing my glasses. Without really checking if it's suitable for my eyes or not. In the end, it doesn't give comfort to my eyes. I went to work early in the morning, then to a meeting with client, tailor, managing the house chores, cats and all. By the time all the work is complete, it is already at night. I had to wear up to 10-12 hours, by at the end of the day, it starts to irritates my eyes.

So, when Alcon Malaysia approached me for their campaign - they sent me to proper eye check and provided me with their recently launched monthly contact lenses - AIR OPTIX® plus HydraGlyde®.

It gives me comfort until 16 hours long. Yeap, it is.

So, if you guys want to get a new contact lens, should check them out. It will a good buy, trust me.

My husband also told me that the previous Alcon AIR OPTIX is his favourite and he didn't expect there is something better than that. Hihi. Thank you, Alcon! I am looking forward to becoming your loyal customer because of this product.

So, any of you is a fan of Alcon's contact lense? I think they are doing a great campaign with this #NeverSettle message, why not share this story with your friends!
