find those extraordinary things in ordinary life.
Assalamualaikum and hi :)
i am pretty sure that most of us love their own life. and so do i. but what happened now is that, i missed my previous life where i have my own time to read a book in a library, writing my daily/weekly plans in a coffee shop while having hot caramel macchiato or maybe if i don't have enough sleep, double shot of expresso, writing my dear blog consistently, having fun with friends, etc.. etc.. and the list goes..
me in present.. just doing things called work. umi always called me and ask where i am and i always says i'm in the middle of work. "ye umi.. fatin tgh buat keje.. ok2, mlm fatin balik" "keje byk lagi tak settle.. nanti fatin makan.." n umi will always call untill i safely arrived home. i love my ummi :) but yeah, you got the point lah kan.. dulu selalu rasa kalau kerja sendiri akan lebih banyak masa sendiri. but i take that back, at least for now. tssk. it's not that i didn't agree.. but it is because once you start your own business you have to work more to starts the engine. once everything is stable, Insha-Allah.. that time barulah boleh bernafas. sikit. i learn a lot. my day starts after subuh and ends late night. sometimes untill 3. but thank god i have Allah with me.. whenever i read Quran it feels so right and calm. itu sajalah cara yang benar2 boleh menghilangkan rasa marah dan stress yang ntah kemana hala tujuannya. haih.
but then i came to realize that.. if i can't appreciate things that is happening now.. i will never be grateful for things that He gave. asyik2 nak merungut je. please grow up lah fatin. merungut all the time is so high school.
so yeah, find those extraordinary things in ordinary life.
1. buy breakfast/lunch for beggars or people who is in need
what happened in Malaysia is that.. there is abundance of food. you can always choose to eat nasi lemak, roti canai, oatmeal, cereal, etc. but what if there's a bunch of people who wish to eat any food
for breakfast.. but they don't have enough money? don't know how to start? just buy a food,
u'll find someone to give and how happy both parties will be :)
2. keep friskies or any cat food in the car/handbag and gave some whenever u find cats.
just bought the small package of friskies at 7e and give to any stray cats. i always feel really sad whenever i saw stray cats and how lucky other indoor cats including my dreamer. the least i can do is by feeding them. you can do it too :)
3. help older people cross the road.
it may sound simple but might feel awkward to start. but once you've starts helping people.. u'll be very happy to help other people more often. trust me!
4. talk with older people and ask for any advice, somehow in Allah's will, it helps.
once u got the chance to talk with older people, seek for their advice. just be a good listener, u don't have to debate. instead, just smile and give them time to talk. u're lucky enough if they talks about their life and the moral values (well that is what most of them will always talk btw) that they found along the way. hey, they're probably already summarized the 20-30 years of life experience in just one conversation!
5. read a book which is different from your 'world'.
i've just started reading a book about food nutrition. for sure a bit pening since banyak terms medic coz it's about health n some diseases. but have to admit.. it is fun :) my current aim, one month one book, minimum.
6. be nice with people you meet everyday.
i met my neighbours almost everyday. so sometimes i went to her house just to have a chat and exchanging books (well actually i'm the one who borrows her tauhid books. pinjam ye aunty! hihi). she's a mother of 5 children. it is great to have a good community around you.
so you see, apart from that.. i don't have any extraordinary life. i wish i have, but i believe appreciating those little things first will gives you a great feeling. a feeling that you could not describe, but can only be feel :)
Alhamdulillah for everything. really.
